What's new at the Mynx Academy?

  • Carmine Black Workshops on Saturday, March 18th, 2017!
With over 10 years of experience in movement and bodywork, Elizabeth specializes in improvisational dance and performance art. She was a professional ballroom dancer for over 3 years, and has experience in belly dance, salsa, hip-hop, and contemporary movement. In 2013 she started taking pole classes, became Xpert certified and has been obsessed with pole dance ever since. Her ultimate goal is to create a safe and creative environment where students can learn different techniques while exploring an authentic expression of their own body movement. Through sensuality and awareness, she believes that dance can be empowering, and encourages each student's journey individually.

    FlowWork (LowFlow) Workshop
    Saturday, March 18, 2017: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm (90 min)
    All Levels

This workshop will focus on Carmine’s signature transitions and flow. We will explore elements of low flow, while creating innovative ways to dance on and off the pole. This workshop focuses on floor to pole transitions, spins, playing with momentum, and pirouette variations.

*Layers are HIGHLY suggested (leggings, legwarmers, knee pads, socks, and a tee-shirt). Your feet and knees must be covered.

    Saturday, March 18, 2017: 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm (90 min)
    Low intermediate and up

Strap on those stilettos, and lace up that g-string. It's time to release that inner ratchet on the dance floor. Learn movement that will explore both exotic and erotic sequences; where you will twist, turn, and twerk up and down the pole. Make sure to have leg warmers, knee pads on hand. Heels are encouraged and recommended.
