Workshop description:

Level: No experience or beginner pole dancers welcome!

Sunday Dates: 5/5, 5/12, and 5/19 

Time: 4:30PM-6:00PM (1.5 hours)

Cost: $120.00 aka $40 per 1.5 hour class

Slots: 8 students *mask required*

Have you always wanted to try pole dance, but been terrified? Do you want techniques to help with your anxiety, while learning to get your feet off the ground? This workshop series will include three 1.5 hour sessions, with a half hour to work with anxiety from different techniques and frameworks and an hour to learn pole technique. It will be trauma-informed and queer, trans and fat affirming. All bodies welcome! This workshop series will be taught by an experienced pole instructor, Steele Starling who is also a LCSW psychotherapist specializing in complex trauma and anxiety. Steele identifies as a bi, trans, abuse survivor, pole dance instructor and mental health therapist.

 

What to wear/bring: 

A mask if you're taking class with Steele.

Layers are great! Please have a tank to/sport bra and shorts with or on you, Kneepads, Grip-aids, Yoga Mat, Water, Towel, Ginger if you get dizzy!
