Props, Drag Persona, & Pole: Building a Performance That Tells a Story - 10:30 AM

The best performances aren’t always the ones with the hardest tricks. They’re the ones that make people feel something. In this all-levels workshop, Billy the King brings together pole, drag, storytelling, and props to help you create a performance that feels intentional, personal, and unmistakably yours. Through playful, hands-on exercises, you’ll explore how character, musicality, movement, and simple choices can turn a routine into a story people remember.

Bring a prop you’ve been considering or something just for fun. Extra items available for improv.

Make it Rain (int/adv spin) - 2:30 PM

This class is all about strip club crowd pleasers. Learn drops, spins, and dynamic tricks that will encourage the brokest of patrons to throw money. Break through those fear barriers, defy gravity, and freeze time in drops from the ceiling and spins that break the sound barrier. These are all Leah’s classic club favorites from her decade of strip club work.

*Pre-requisites: invert & shoulder mount needed

Let’s Fucking Dance (all levels) - 4:15 PM

Strengthen your confidence and build your skill set in this off-the-pole dance workshop. Geared towards pole dancers with dance goals that go beyond the pole and floor work, this class will consist of routines with attainable, yet challenging, dance choreography. Instructor Leah Franklin brings years of experience as both a professional dancer and instructor, allowing her to break down movements and model how to execute them with confidence.

*Clean sneakers or boots without heels & knee pads recommended.

IT'S NOT MEDIA, IT'S YOU (seminar) - 12:15 PM

It's not media's fault we believe what we see —

it's our fault for not asking more questions and for falling for the tropes. Let’s talk and learn about relationship with media and how media impacts whorephobia.

The trope is a shortcut around context. It lets the audience skip the work of asking "how did this person end up here" and go straight to a verdict. Different groups get erased through different mechanisms, but the function is the same: strip the context or the personhood so the audience doesn't have to reckon with a full human being.
