Chair-ish
Chair-ish is an instructor led performance piece by Dark Angel. This performance is about confidence, embracing multiple, sometimes contradictory, sides of oneself, and "main character energy".
-
K.C. Ville
About a year and a half ago, just shy of their 51st birthday, "K.C. Ville" attended their first Intro to Pole class, which birthed a new hyperfixation. This piece is entitled, "What Pole Means To Me." While they are happy to represent the career they love -- stenography, court reporting, and live captioning -- sometimes the day is challenging. Thankfully there is Pole to melt everything away.
-
Taelwind
Taelwind (Tail-Wind) goes by he/they pronouns and has been learning pole for about a year and a half. They started their pole journey at Mynx Academy and have been hooked ever since. This is Taelwind's first time doing a public dance performance, and while they insist that they have zero fear of public speaking, they're here to overcome stage fright about dancing once and for all!

Natalya Nymphaea

Feral Poon
DescriptioAmanda (Ope Awesome) has been a student at Mynx Academy for three years and Amy (Theodore Trashwell) for two. They have known each other through Roller Derby for almost a decade...probably...this isn't a documentary about some chaotic humans! This IS two feral trash critters sharing a slice of life! Actually, it's pizza. One POssum and one raccoON means you're about to observe the enrichment activities of FERAL POON in their natural habitat. Like most nature documentaries, you're about to learn a lot more than your parents know how to explain to you. n goes here

Catcubine
Catcubine started learning pole in earnest a little over a year ago. She had a little bit of experience with drag/burlesque and these continue to influence how she approaches pole. Mynx has been a wonderful environment and she gives a special thanks to Makayla and Karen for their guidance and encouragement. This will be her first solo pole performance and she is excited!
-
Bunny
Bunny (she/her) has been pole dancing at Mynx Academy since 2023. She started pole dancing to gain confidence and self-love. She found those things and more at Mynx and has no plans of slowing down. Her 2026 goal is to compete in November at PSO.
-
Wrecks Appeal
I'm Wrecks Appeal, he/him. I started taking classes at Mynx Acadamy with my partner about 3 years ago just to pick up a fun new hobby. Now, we've danced in 2 group performances and this will be my first solo performance. So join me as I celebrate this new found confidence and process some religious trauma!
-
Spin Diesel
Spin Diesel is a dynamic duo made up of Eylül (she/her) and Alaina (she/her). Eylül has been pole dancing for 5 years and has spent that entire time growing at Mynx Academy, while Alaina is approaching her one-year mark both on the pole and at Mynx. Together, they like to host extravagant parties, salsa dance, and eat Dubai chocolate strawberries. The members of Spin Diesel would also like to give a big shoutout to cats, glitter, and strippers for making their worlds go around.
-
Bella Bordeaux
Bella Bordeaux (she/they) loves to bring together their training in various dance styles, care for social justice issues, and love for queer night life into their performance. Bella is especially inspired by the queer street dance/club dance culture and Black social dance lineages. Bella is fairly new to pole (she started pole at Mynx in October last year!) but she has fallen in love with it and can’t wait to show you all her first pole performance!
-
Phyoenix
Phyoenix discovered the pole world in 2013 after attending a pole party that sparked an unexpected passion. She took a few classes before life pulled her away for a bit, but in 2017 she found her home at Mynx Academy and she’s been flying ever since. For Phyoenix, pole is both a creative outlet and a powerful reminder of her own strength and beauty. Her stage name is inspired by one of her favorite quotes: “In order to rise from its own ashes, a phoenix first must burn.” When she began her pole journey, she never imagined stepping onto a stage. That changed in 2022 when Kirstie’s Saturday Crew encouraged her to apply for the Mynx Pole Dance Extravaganza. Since then, Phyoenix has performed in shows including the Mynx Pole Dance Extravaganza, STL Pole Show, and Pole Theatre USA.

Kirstie
Kirstie has been doing pole and aerial dance since 2012. She is an instructor and chief admin as Mynx Academy of Pole Dance. She offers online lessons as well as traveling workshops. When Kirstie is not sharing her love of pole and aerial through performing and teaching, she is fostering cats, loving on her own cats, and going on romantic travels with her husband.

In the last 2 years, they have also participated in the Mynx Extravaganza as a part of a group and hopes to make their solo debut this year (fingers crossed!). Lee Cheshire
Lee Cheshire has been pole dancing since old school was just school and the new it moves were named after pioneers. Lured in by the first 420p YouTube videos, she's scrambled for every DVD set, pole class, and online offering since. Though she may see other aerial arts on the side, pole will always be her greatest love From the first 'you can bruise there?' until the last 'point your fucking toes'.
-
Dae
I’ve been pole dancing for years, several of them at Mynx. Outside of the studio, you can find me at the gym or unwinding with my cats. Lately my current reads have all been on indulging in all seven deadly sins and translating that into my pole pieces.
-
Aria Blair
Aria Blair invites you to dance with temptation, luring you long past the point of salvation. You may have seen her in the Mynx Extravaganza or the STL Pole Show, but you have yet to see her quite like this. Every arch is a promise she never intends to keep, every spin a surrender to something holy turned deliciously unholy. Aria Blair doesn’t tempt you to sin… she makes you want to.
-
Lady Psyren
Lady Psyren has been a student of pole for 5 years. Past performances include STL Pole Show, MOHO events, and at the Mynx Extravaganza (with her partner Sir Val). Despite being at Mynx for 3 years, this will be her first showcase performance and she is excited to perform!
-
Cassi O’Peia
Cassi O’Peia has spent the past 15 years immersed in the language of movement, using dance as a tool for self expression and personal exploration. Over the last four years, she has found a powerful new voice in pole, an art form that has challenged her, shaped her, and captured her heart. Now returning to the Student Showcase stage for her fourth year, Cassi O’Peia continues to embrace discomfort and vulnerability, using each performance as an opportunity to grow, take risks, and connect more deeply with both herself and her audience.
-
Mercury
This will be my second ever pole piece; first time performing in heels. I would like to
thank Kirstie, Michelle, and Alysa for teaching me cool stuff and supporting me on my
journey. I am dedicating this fun and sexy piece to myself for being fun and sexy.
-
Hesper
Hesper has been dancing for 5 years and continues to be living proof that you can still be successful while being pretty and bad at math. Her main life goal is to make as many friendships with rodents as possible, and her other main goal is to defeat lactose intolerance. If you see her after the show, ask her about the time she got donkey kicked by her patient in the ER.
-
